Business Analyst

My client, a leading software provider to the financial services industry, is looking to fill a business analyst role supporting the firm's portfolio risk management initiatives. This is a permanent role based in New York City and will pay a base salary between 100-140k, depending on the candidate, as well as benefits and bonus eligibility.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an industry leader in the portfolio management and risk management space. As a business analyst supporting, you will have the opportunity to wear multiple hats. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the implementation process through the full life-cycle, from working with the pre-sales team to engaging with new clients, gathering requirements and ensuring the system meets specific business needs, through to post implementation support. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to enhance and improve the firm's product offering.

In addition to getting exposure to a number of different complex business areas, financial products and trading strategies, the firm provides exceptional growth opportunities and the ability to impact the bottom line for the firm. In order to qualify for this exceptional opportunity, candidates must meet the following set of criteria:
Degree in math or finance, ideally from a top-tier school, with an acumen and interest in technology.
Excellent product knowledge in at least one of the following areas (FX, Commodities, Interest Rates, Credit) with a thorough understanding of the trade lifecycle for that particular product (trade booking, risk management, P&L, middle and back office operations)
Excellent analysis skills with the ability to ask the right questions in order to gather detailed business requirements
Self-starter with strong client-facing skills, excellent communication and presentation skills with a high level of confidence and the ability to influence at all levels of an organziation
