Business Manager - APAC Technology - Hong Kong

Our client are a prestigious, tier one financial organisation. Market leaders in the wealth management, private banking, portfolio management and asset management space, they are currently undertaking a raft of project work within technology.

The Business Manager will work as part of the COO office and in a Director level capacity take ownership and responsibility for budgets, projects, resources and the execution of the technology strategy.

Job Description:-
* Working as part of a team to deliver and execute the banks technology strategy through planning, governance & financial control
* Working very closely and managing board level stakeholders around existing project work
* Reporting on project and portfolio delivery
* Producing and analysing performance metrics and interpreting these for stakeholders
* Understanding resourcing requirements across the business
* Ensuring communication is regular and effective across the business and technology lines




Skills Required:-
* Demonstrable experience working in a PMO, Business Management or COO function in an investment bank, asset management or Private Banking business
* Experience managing large teams either directly or indirectly in a regional capacity
* Experience managing senior level stakeholders on key programmes of technology work across a large scale business unit or department
* Strong financial understanding around budgets and financial planning
* Very strong Project Management skills gained by working in a financial markets environment
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. The role requires the skills of a polished, client facing individual who is used to working with and negotiating with senior level stakeholders.
