Java Developer - Agile - FX IT, Hong Kong

Working as part of an experienced development group, you will be responsible for the design and development of new components and trading engines for the FX business.

Job Description:-
* Design and development of low latency, high throughput, front office applications using Java
* Working with business users to understand requirements and translate these into technical specifications
* Working with the team to design the new platform and taking ownership for specific pieces to be delivered
* Working with other development teams to re-use components where appropriate
* Using Agile methodology to deliver iterative system enhancements


Skills Required:-
* Very strong server side Java gained from working in a low latency environment
* Front office technology experience is essential, although specific product knowledge is not
* Good experience working with Agile methodology, specifically using continuous integration tools such as Jira and Fisheye
* Very strong OO analysis and design experience with deep understanding and previous experience with design patterns
* Good knowledge of multi-threaded Java techniques
* MQ Series experience is desired but not essential
* Any experience with 29West would be highly preferable
